Job summary

Nest56 is a TGTHR housing program in Denver seeking a Resident Support Specialist for a part-time temporary role. You will help create a trauma-informed, safe living environment and provide daily engagement and emotional support to young residents.

You’ll assist with life-skills coaching, crisis de-escalation, and community activities while documenting progress in Salesforce and coordinating with the broader team. Requires 21+, Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience, and flexibility.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth or vulnerable populations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and be 21+ years old.
• Commitment to DEI and understanding of youth homelessness.

Responsibilities

• Foster a safe, stable, and empowering living space.
• Provide day-to-day engagement and emotional support to residents.
• Help youth build independent living skills (budgeting, cooking, personal care).
• Use crisis-intervention and de-escalation skills when needed.
• Facilitate life-skills groups and community activities.
• Document daily in Salesforce and other databases; collaborate with the team.
• Transport residents to appointments and resources as needed.
• Support TGTHR’s mission with compassion, structure, and teamwork.
