Job summary

Mercy Home for Boys & Girls is seeking a Program Manager to oversee the residential program for at-risk youth in Chicago. You will implement individualized treatment plans, supervise staff, and ensure a trauma‑informed, client‑centered approach to care.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in a relevant field and licensure (LCSW or LCPC), with experience in residential treatment and strong CPI knowledge. The role is full‑time, based at our West Loop campus, with evening hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related field and licensure (LCSW or LCPC) required.
• Experience in residential treatment, young adult services, or behavioral health.
• Demonstrated leadership in interdisciplinary team settings.
• Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care and crisis intervention (CPI).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Experience managing individuals and teams.
• Ability to work two nights per week, on-call Monday–Friday and rotating weekends.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for implementing Youth's Individual Treatment Plans.
• Lead and supervise program staff with a trauma-informed, client-centered approach.
• Provide crisis support and guidance to staff.
• Oversee therapeutic interventions and activities for youth.
• Collaborate to develop individualized care plans addressing mental health needs.
• Coordinate with supervisors and coordinators on staffings and schedules.
• Oversee budgeting and program operations.
• Participate in agency trainings and perform performance evaluations.
