Job summary

Trinity Youth Services in Monterey Park, CA is seeking an Enhanced Mental Health Support Specialist. This full-time role supports a youth-focused mental health team, delivering strength-based interventions and documenting progress under state standards.

Responsibilities include developing functional skills, interviewing youth and families, and coordinating with staff on treatment plans. A CA driver’s license and English proficiency are required; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in the Social Sciences and two years of experience required.
• ABA experience preferred.
• Proficient in computers including Email, Word and Excel.
• Clear and concise English communication required, both spoken and written.
• Age 21+ and eligible for background checks and driving record checks.
• California driver's license with clean DMV history, insurable by company.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing functional skills to improve self-care and self-regulation.
• Interview children, families and involved persons to assess needs.
• Set counseling objectives and treatment plans with mental health staff.
• Chart progress notes per Trinity policies and California standards.
• Utilize Trauma-Informed practices to guide behavior and self-control.
• Drive a vehicle when necessary.
