Job summary

A leading child and family service organization in Los Angeles is seeking a Direct Care Staff Youth Development Counselor. In this role, you will supervise and care for youth in placement, ensuring their basic needs are met while conducting culturally sensitive activities. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma, preferably some experience in a similar setting, and demonstrate effective communication and crisis intervention skills. Qualifications

• One year of experience in a similar environment is preferred.
• Able to use de-escalation skills when needed.
• Basic lifting and housekeeping duties required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, protect, and care for youth in placement.
• Conduct youth development activities for youth in the assigned cottage.
• Document resident services, incident reports, and maintain logs.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the cottage and monitor safety.
