Job summary

The Youth Advocate at DOVE Center facilitates outreach activities and groups for children aged 0-13 and supports community events. The role emphasizes reflective listening, advocacy for youth, and staying current with victim advocacy training.

Qualifications

• Degree, training, and/or experience in child/youth services related field preferred.
• Proficiency with Windows OS, Word, Excel, Google Suite and Google Chrome.
• Understanding of child development, childhood trauma, and child advocacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and facilitate child/youth activities and groups at various times/locations.
• Assist supervisor with parenting support services and safety planning for children.
• Prepare, inventory, and transport youth program supplies; coordinate with the team.
• Attend mandated trainings and ensure compliance with agency policies and ethics.
