Job summary

The DOVE Center seeks a part-time Youth Advocate to lead outreach activities and youth groups for ages 0-13 in St. George. The role emphasizes trauma-informed advocacy, reflective listening, and collaboration with adult support groups.

Youth Advocates will complete at least 40 hours of victim advocacy training and maintain ongoing education, with duties split between direct service (80%) and indirect service (20%).

Qualifications

• Degree or training in child/youth services preferred.
• Proficiency with Windows, Word, Excel, Google Suite, and Google Chrome.
• Understanding of child development, childhood trauma, and child advocacy preferred.
• Familiarity with Washington County child/youth resources, agencies, and stakeholders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and facilitate child/youth activities and groups at various times and locations in conjunction with Youth Advocates and Prevention Advocates.
• Assist Supervisor in providing individual and group-based parenting support services, focusing on promoting positive parenting skills.
• Coordinate and transport youth program supplies to/from multiple locations and collaborate with Education/Youth Program team members.
• Attend mandated trainings and meetings, and ensure compliance with policies and record-keeping.
