Job summary

The Cocoon is dedicated to safety, healing, and justice for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. The Youth Advocate will deliver trauma-informed education, case management, and emotional support for youth and their caregivers, while collecting data to address community needs and organizing educational activities in shelter.

Applicants should have at least one year of related experience; a Bachelor's degree is preferred, with strong communication skills and a valid driver’s license.

Job Description

The Youth Advocate will be responsible for providing trauma-informed education, case management and individual/group emotional support for youth impacted by domestic violence and their caregivers, assist in gathering data to accurately address community needs, organize educational activities to engage youth in shelter, provide parent involved learning activities for youth, transportation and provide respite care.

Qualifications

Minimum of one year related experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Must have valid driver's license and vehicle. Competitive salary and benefits.
