Helpline Youth Counseling (HYC) in Southeast Los Angeles County seeks a Wraparound Family Specialist/Partner to join our Wraparound team. You will provide strength-based, trauma-informed support to caregivers and youth, integrating parent and youth partner roles.

Responsibilities include coaching families, facilitating CFT meetings, navigating schools and mental health systems, and promoting youth voice and self-advocacy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Child Development, Human Services, or related field or equivalent direct experience.
• Experience supporting families involved with child welfare, probation, or behavioral health systems.
• Lived experience navigating these systems is highly valued.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; valid California driver’s license, reliable vehicle.

Responsabilités

• Strengthen family functioning and interpersonal communication.
• Support caregivers with parenting strategies and emotional regulation.
• Help families identify strengths, needs, and natural supports.
• Provide emotional support, validation, and follow-through.
• Mentor youth on decision‑making, communication, and life skills.
• Assist youth in regulating emotions and completing tasks.
• Encourage participation in prosocial activities and goal‑driven actions.
• Prepare youth for CFT meetings and help express needs independently.
• Provide trauma-informed coaching in real-life settings.
• Support families in navigating schools, mental health, and community resources.
