Job summary

Koinonia Family Services in Bakersfield is seeking a part-time Family Specialist for our wraparound program. You will work with youth and families in homes and communities, implementing plans of care and targeted behavioral interventions to promote stability and well-being.

The role requires an associate’s degree in a behavioral science or related field (or substantial AA coursework) and preferably one year of experience with high-risk youth.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in behavioral science or substantial coursework toward AA required.
• One year of experience with high-risk youth preferred.
• Lived experience with foster care and adoption considered.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with youth and families in their home and community to develop positive relationships and implement the plan of care.
• Model positive behavior and implement targeted behavioral interventions to promote stabilization in the home and community.
• Provide skill-building interventions to improve behavioral outcomes.
• Participate in a family-centered, strength-based planning process for individualized plans of care.
• Support youth to participate in child and family team (CFT) meetings.
• Transport youth to appointments and community resources.
• Maintain case files for assigned youth and families.
