Job summary

The Children’s Home Society of New Jersey is seeking a Visitation Aide for the Supportive Visitation Services program, based in Home Based - Hunterdon and Warren Counties in New Jersey. The role focuses on transporting families to visits, supervising sessions, and maintaining safety and documentation throughout visits.

Requirements include a high school diploma and at least 1 year of experience with children and families affected by trauma. A NJ driver’s license and clean abstract are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year experience with children and families, particularly families involved with the child welfare system and/ or affected by trauma.
• Thirty (30) semester hour credits from an accredited college, including twelve (12) semester hour credits in the behavioral sciences, may substitute for the experience.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and/or parents to visitation locations and ensure safety.
• Supervise visits and document transportation encounters and visits.
• Communicate with visitation specialists, parents, resource parents, and children.
• Maintain a safe environment for parent-child contact and promote healthy attachment.
