Job summary

The Family Place in Dallas, TX is seeking a part-time Visitation Monitor to supervise parent-child visits, observe interactions, and document visit details for court proceedings and case management. You will ensure safety, neutral environments, and adherence to guidelines while supporting families affected by domestic violence.

The role requires trauma-informed practice, strong observational skills, and the ability to work flexible hours including weeknights and weekends; bilingual

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Criminal Justice, or similar, and six months of experience working with perpetrators and victims of domestic violence and training in the Duluth Model Facilitation.
• OR a Bachelor’s Degree and any equivalent combination of training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• OR a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in domestic violence services, child welfare, family services, or related nonprofit settings with demonstrated knowledge of family dynamics and child safety protocols.
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) may be required based on the position's needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision of parent-child visitation and exchanges in scheduled visits.
• Observe and document interactions to ensure safety and adherence to court orders.
• Conduct child orientations and prepare observation notes for legal proceedings.
• Write contact notes and maintain accurate client records.
• Prepare reports and documentation that may be used in court proceedings or case reviews.
• Complete administrative tasks and collaborate with case managers and partners.
