Pathways Inc. in Morehead, KY is seeking a Victim Advocate/RPE Educator in a hybrid role. This full-time position offers a $36,750 annual salary and a 40-hour work week, with occasional evenings or additional hours as needed.

You will provide trauma-informed advocacy, crisis support, and referrals to survivors, while delivering prevention education to schools and community groups. Strong communication and the ability to discuss sensitive topics are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; qualified experience may be substituted.
• NACP-approved 40-hour victim advocacy training required or willing to complete.
• Training for Green Dot and It’s My Space required or willing to complete.
• Strong public speaking, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and discuss sensitive topics involving violence.
• Knowledge of cycles of violence, survivor experiences, and community resources.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and resiliency when working with trauma-exposed populations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed advocacy, crisis support, information, referrals, and resources to survivors.
• Assist participants with safety planning and accessing legal, medical, counseling, and other support services.
• Educate participants about victim rights, available options, and community resources.
• Coordinate services with law enforcement, courts, DCBS, domestic violence shelters, healthcare providers, and other community agencies.
• Implement evidence-based violence prevention programs, including Green Dot and It’s My Space.
• Provide prevention education and presentations to middle school, high school, college, and community audiences.
• Facilitate bystander intervention training and promote healthy relationships and violence prevention.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with schools, community organizations, civic groups, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, treatment planning, and case reviews.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, reports, and grant-related records.
• Assess participant and community needs and identify opportunities to expand prevention and outreach efforts.
• Maintain confidentiality and provide services in a respectful, nonjudgmental, person-centered manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
