Job summary

Center For Women And Families in Louisville, KY is seeking a Part Time Advocate to provide crisis response, advocacy, case coordination, and supportive services to individuals impacted by intimate partner violence and related trauma.

Under supervision, you will assess client needs, help with goal setting, and deliver trauma-informed, empowerment-based care while coordinating with community partners; flexibility and ability to work evenings or weekends required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant professional experience may substitute for formal education.
• Experience in advocacy, social services, crisis response, behavioral health, or related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required with driving record meeting agency insurance standards.
• Strong trauma-informed care understanding and cultural responsiveness.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, advocacy, de-escalation, transportation coordination, referrals, and supportive services.
• Conduct client-centered sessions to identify immediate needs, goals, and available resources.
• Assist with intakes, exits, agreements, and conflict resolution as applicable to program needs.
• Provide psychoeducation related to trauma, power-based violence, and resilience.
• Support navigation of legal, medical, housing, employment, and social service systems.
• Assist with walk-ins, phone response, emergency assistance, and program activities.
• Engage volunteers and community partners in client services and agency initiatives.
• Maintain timely written, verbal, and electronic documentation of client interactions.
