Job summary

SCO Family of Services is seeking a Family Psychotherapist to provide individual and group therapy for pregnant and parenting teens in our residential program. The role involves trauma screening, parenting assessments, and delivering a six-init curriculum with a trauma-informed approach.

You will work within our Residential Foster Care Programs, collaborating with staff and external social services to support families, children, and youth in a culturally competent, ethical, and professional

Qualifications

• Master's degree in licensed mental health profession required.
• NYS license (LMSW/LCSW, LMHC, LCAT) or limited permit eligible.
• Experience with adolescents in human services and trauma-informed care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy for pregnant/parenting teens in the program.
• Conduct mental health and trauma screens, and suicide risk assessments.
• Assess parenting relationships, develop interventions, and coordinate curricula.
• Deliver trauma-informed therapy around Responsive Care and parenting.
• Engage families and coordinate referrals with social services as needed.
• Model responsive care and positive parenting techniques.
• Participate in team meetings, conferences, and required trainings.
• Collaborate with Bethany staff and external resources to support residents.
