Job summary

SPCC in the United States is seeking a Therapist for our Family Trauma Intervention Program (FTIP). You will deliver home-based therapy to children and families affected by trauma, focusing on strengthening attachment, reducing risk of foster care placement, and supporting caregivers through evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities include assessments, treatment plans, crisis intervention, and coordination with county services.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology or license-eligible field.
Minimum two years of trauma-focused experience with children and families.
Must hold NYS licensure or permit status within required timeframes; licensure or permit must be maintained.
Experience with CPP and IECMH perspectives preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide home-based therapeutic services to children and caregivers, including individual and family therapy, crisis intervention, and case coordination.
Complete assessments, treatment and safety plans, and progress notes in required systems.
Maintain accurate records and monthly reporting.
Coordinate services with county agencies and community providers.
Facilitate referrals to community resources and supports.
Collaborate with partners to strengthen referral networks and outcomes.
Participate in supervision, reflective practice, and trainings.
Provide community education and outreach when requested.
