Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is seeking a Positive Support Specialist (PSS) to join our Intensive Community Residential Services (ICRS) team. You will support individuals with complex medical, behavioral, and mental health needs in home and community settings, using a person-centered approach.

The role emphasizes consistency, routine, and crisis safety, with training in Positive Behavioral Supports and crisis intervention.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum education is a high school diploma; degree in a related field preferred.
• Must be able to stand, squat, bend, or walk for long periods; able to lift 50 lbs.
• Will be cleared by BCA background check.

Aufgaben

• Assist individuals to be more independent in essential life skills.
• Advocate for individuals in rights, medical care, and community participation.
• Complete necessary documentation and record-keeping every shift.
• Manage crisis situations safely, including potential use of restraints with training.
• Engage in trauma-informed care daily.
