Job summary

Spaulding Educational Alternatives (SEA) in Barre, Vermont is seeking a Student Support Specialist to assist high school students facing social-emotional challenges. You will collaborate with teaching and counseling staff to support academic and social-emotional needs using a trauma-informed, problem-solving approach.

Bachelor's degree preferred; 3–5 years in an educational setting with youth is desirable. Pay ranges from $24.44 to $34.30 per hour with a full benefits package.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in an educational setting with youth.
  • Experience in a high school alternative program is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support students' academic and social-emotional needs through collaborative problem solving.
  • Work with teaching and counseling staff to implement trauma-informed approaches.
  • Contribute to the SEA program's mission and PBGR/PLP framework.
