Collaborative for Educational Services is hiring a Special Education Teacher for the Department of Mental Health program in Worcester Recovery Acute Unit. The role serves at-risk youth up to age 22 with a small class setting and on-site behavioral support.

Early licensure in Moderate Disabilities is welcomed, with MTEL fee support and strong licensure pathways. The position offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule, 7:30 AM–3:30 PM, with limited after-hours work, professional development, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University.
• Massachusetts teacher licensure in Mild-to-Moderate Disabilities 5-12.
• Demonstrated commitment in teaching high risk youth.
• Multilingual and/or multicultural candidates desirable.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
• Master's Degree in Education or related field preferred.
• At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach Special Education to youth up to age 22 in a structured environment.
• Maintain small class sizes (7 students max) with on-site behavioral staff.
• Provide services for students at nearby Adult DMH facility if needed.
• Collaborate with behavioral and clinical staff to support student growth.
• Support equitable, student-centered education.
