Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Massachusetts teaching certification by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (Ages 5-12).
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of the population served; understanding of required interventions.
• Background checks: CORI and OIG.
• Willingness to learn physical interventions and de-escalation techniques.
• Background and driving record checks will be performed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a licensed Special Education Teacher with middle and high school students.
• Work in a clinically appropriate manner while maintaining a challenging learning environment.
• Collaborate with educational, clinical, nursing, and vocational departments.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Massachusetts teaching certification

Excellent communication skills

Educator's License (preferred)
