Job summary

The Collaborative for Educational Services (SEIS) is seeking a part-time Special Education Teacher for the Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley, MA. You will provide education to two students, four hours per week, split into two two-hour sessions.

Must be licensed in Moderate Disabilities (5-12) with a strong interest in supporting at-risk youth in alternative settings. Collaborative, trauma-informed approaches and equity focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Moderate Disabilities (5-12) required.
• Experience or strong interest in supporting at-risk youth in alternative settings.
• Commitment to social justice and equity in education.

Responsibilities

• Provide educational services to two students (one in each facility) with four hours of teaching per week.
• Deliver sessions in two-hour blocks, Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday from 9–11 AM.
• Collaborate with behavioral and clinical staff and instructional coaches to support student outcomes.
• Maintain patient, trauma-informed, equitable, student-centered instruction.
