Job summary

Side by Side is seeking a Special Education Teacher to join a multidisciplinary team in Marin County, CA. The role ensures academic instruction and proactive classroom management in alignment with CDE guidelines and national accreditations, leading education strategies and behavior interventions while applying a strengths-based, trauma-informed, youth-centered approach.

The exempt position may require work beyond 40 hours weekly, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Requires IEP implementation and data-driven instruction.
• Experience planning and delivering instruction aligned with CDE standards and state assessments.
• Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and manage classroom behavior.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support educational strategies within the IEP framework.
• Develop daily lesson plans per standards and ensure documentation.
• Coordinate with behavior staff for data collection and progress reporting.
• Supervise classroom staff and aides; mentor.
