Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Social Worker (MSW) to provide consultation, assessment, and intervention for a diverse patient population. You will work under clinical supervision, applying biopsychosocial approaches and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support patients and families.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed practice, crisis intervention, and advocacy, with weekly inpatient contacts and ongoing documentation in EPIC.

Qualifications

• Requires Master’s Degree (MSW) from an accredited School of Social Work
• Must maintain active MSW licensure per MA requirements
• Experience in social work within healthcare settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Complete biopsychosocial assessments and trauma assessments using department tools
• Provide brief, solution-focused interventions and safety planning
• Deliver trauma-informed, strengths-based crisis interventions for patients and families
• Develop rapport and therapeutic relationships with patients and families
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address social determinants of health
• Utilize EHR (EPIC) to document and track patient encounters
• Ensure timely assessments for inpatients and outpatients per policy
