Valley Youth House in Bethlehem is seeking a School Based Counselor to provide counseling services in the school settings, earning $27–$30 per hour.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, collateral contacts, and engagement with students and families, with regular supervision, team meetings, and required clearances. Full-time position includes benefits such as health insurance and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling or a related human services field.
• License-eligibility for school-based therapists.
• Clear criminal, child abuse, FBI and National Sex Offender clearances; passing motor vehicle clearance.
• Able to walk stairs and work in loud environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide billable counseling services within the school setting including collateral contacts and administrative work.
• Deliver direct services to students and/or families and engage them in the treatment process.
• Attend and engage in supervision, team meetings and professional development.
• Complete and submit electronic health record documentation in a timely, professional manner.
• Administer clinical assessments and report results within program timelines.
• Complete other paperwork for the program or grant funding as required.
