Valley Youth House in Bethlehem, PA seeks a School Based Counselor to provide counseling within the school setting under a trauma-informed approach. The role focuses on engaging students and families in treatment, while maintaining timely clinical documentation.

Responsibilities include direct services, supervision reviews, team participation, and adherence to program timelines. Eligible benefits include PTO, health coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling or a related human services field is required.
• License eligibility may be required for some schools.
• Must have clear criminal, child abuse, FBI, and NSO clearances and passing motor vehicle clearance.
• Must be able to work in a loud/distracting environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling services in the school setting (90% of time billed).
• Direct services to students and/or families and engage them in treatment.
• Attend supervisor meetings to review caseload and progress.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development.
• Complete clinical documentation and dictation within program timelines.
• Administer clinical assessments and complete related records.
• Complete other program or grant-related paperwork promptly.
