Job summary

Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation seeks a qualified counselor to work on a school campus, providing trauma-informed individual and group counseling to youth exposed to violence or abuse. You will teach trauma education, develop peer leadership, and coordinate outreach for families and staff.

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Creative Arts Therapy, or related field.
• At least 3 years working with children/adolescents and trauma-informed practice.
• Strong counseling and crisis intervention skills.
• Commitment to anti-racist, culturally sensitive services.

Responsibilities

• Be present on school campus daily when school is in session; hybrid summers.
• Provide individual and group counseling to youth exposed to violence or abuse.
• Teach trauma education and violence-prevention curricula to youth.
• Lead peer leadership groups and school activities.
• Develop outreach and training for parents/guardians and staff.
