Job summary

Centerstone is hiring a School-Based Behavioral Health Liaison to work with Perry Co. Schools, providing trauma-informed classroom consultation and family liaison services. You will train educators, support IEP planning, and help implement school-wide mental health initiatives.

The role emphasizes clinical assessment, treatment planning, and collaboration with school staff to promote healthy coping and crisis services access.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree is required in one of the listed fields.
• License-eligible in respective discipline preferred.
• If degree is outside listed fields, 24 graduate-level hours in psychology, social work, counseling or related.
• Clinical treatment and treatment planning experience expected.
• Experience with DSM, assessment, and internship/practicum in behavioral health.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face consultation with classroom teachers to create trauma-informed classrooms.
• Deliver at least one face-to-face training per year to LEA personnel on mental health topics.
• Aid in development of school-wide mental health initiatives and prevention strategies.
• Offer liaison services between school and family, assist with IEP processes when requested.
• Navigate local behavioral health systems and access crisis services as needed.
• Maintain logs and documentation to comply with grant and organizational requirements.
• Provide individual, group or family therapy as needed and develop treatment plans.
