Job summary

Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is seeking a Registered Nurse in Recuperative Care to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to individuals experiencing homelessness within an integrated, trauma-informed model.

You will triage, administer medications, educate patients, and coordinate with hospitals, clinics, and housing services; supervise and mentor staff, and document in the EHR. The role emphasizes continuity of care, advocacy, and holistic support.

Qualifications

• BSN or MSN from an accredited program.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing.
• Experience in ambulatory, public, community health, mental health, emergency, or hospice nursing preferred (2+ years).
• Experience serving homeless or marginalized communities preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care at Stout Street Recuperative Care Center to accepted community standards.
• Triage and support referrals based on acuity and bed availability.
• Administer medications per nursing protocols.
• Educate patients on chronic and acute conditions and lifestyle management.
• Mentor new nurses and nursing students; participate in quality improvement.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in the EHR.
