Job summary

The Pasco School District is seeking an Instructional Paraeducator for McClintock Elementary School in Pasco, Washington. You will support trauma‑informed instruction, monitor routines, and document student progress while collaborating with the supervising teacher and support staff.

Responsibilities include delivering teacher‑directed instruction in small groups, assisting with behavior plans, data collection, first aid, and supervision during arrival, lunch, and recess.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated CPI training or willingness to attend training.

Responsibilities

• Use trauma-informed strategies to support safe relationships and routines.
• Collect and document data on academic progress and IEP goals.
• Follow behavior intervention plans and de-escalation strategies.
• Assist with delivering instruction in small groups and individually.
• Provide first aid and supervise students during daily activities.
• Maintain student records and assist with tests and assessments.
• Translate information when needed to assist students and families.

Skills

Bilingual (Spanish)

First aid/CPR certification

CPI trained or willing to attend

K-12 experience preferred

Experience with special needs

Strong teamwork

Education

Associate's degree or higher

72 credits or 48 credits in college courses

ETS paraeducator assessment passing score

High School Diploma or equivalent
