Job summary

Shelter Youth & Family Services seeks a Residential Treatment Coordinator to oversee a Therapeutic program for up to 12 girls (ages 12-18) identified as survivors of human trafficking. You will supervise Youth Care Specialists, ensure daily programming, and maintain safety and documentation.

The role requires leadership, trauma-informed practice, and collaboration with clinical teams to track progress and develop plans within a DCFS framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social service or related field required from an accredited school.
• Minimum two years of residential experience.
• Demonstrated commitment to Shelter's mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Youth Care Specialists and oversee daily routines.
• Provide trauma-informed staff training and mentoring.
• Monitor documentation, shift coverage, and safety standards.
• Coordinate referrals, transportation, medical, therapy, and school activities.
• Support residents with crisis intervention and emotional needs.
