Qualifications

• Requires fingerprint background check with satisfactory results.
• Valid Alaska driver’s license and insurable under CITC's auto insurance; age 21+ and license held 3+ years.
• Alaska Food Handlers Card or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire; CPR certified or able to be certified within 30 days.
• Residential Support Staff I requires 1 year of relevant social service experience; II requires 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily program schedules and promote a therapeutic, supportive milieu.
• Provide social and emotional support using Trauma-Informed and Motivational Interviewing techniques.
• Complete shift reports and interdepartmental communications to ensure continuity of care.
• Monitor visitor access, participant passes, and medication self-administration.
• Transport participants to activities, appointments, and approved outings.
• Facilitate family meetings, tele-psych, clinicians, and group/individual sessions.
• Attend off-campus activities aligned with program goals (fishing, hiking, skiing, etc.).
• Document medical appointments and referrals per policy; maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Protect participant privacy and uphold safety standards per CITC policies.
• Assist in kitchen duties and food service when appropriate.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas; uphold respectful relationships.
