Job summary

The Salvation Army in Anchorage seeks a Behavioral Health Associate for the Women’s Residential Program to support the clinical staff, supervise client activities, conduct intakes, document in EHR, and help with scheduling and group sessions.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, Alaska Counselor Technician certificate preferred, and experience in substance abuse or related field; proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHR systems is desired; valid Alaska driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Alaska Counselor Technician certificate preferred.
• One year preferred in substance abuse, homelessness, or related field.
• One year experience in clerical and data entry; proficient with office equipment and health databases.

Responsibilities

• Maintain internal program statistics and referrals data; enter data into EHR and other databases.
• Schedule rooms for sessions; supervise clients’ activities and chores.
• Assist with incident reports and corrective actions.
• Conduct client intake and orientation; monitor behavior and document in EHR.
• Provide client education and lead group sessions; transport clients on passes.
