Job summary

A local non-profit service organization is seeking a Residential Life Skills Lead to provide trauma-informed oversight to a team supporting homeless young adults. This role involves ensuring safety, compliance, communication, and empowerment. The ideal candidate will have a degree and prior supervisory experience in community services. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Bilingual candidates are especially encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience within residential and/or community‑based services for youth.
• 1–3 years of experience supervising staff.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain staffing schedules and oversee shift handovers.
• Ensure county contract and agency requirements are met.
• Facilitate communication between staff, clinicians, and housing case managers.
• Provide calm, trauma‑informed leadership during crises.

Skills

Understanding of the needs of unhoused young adults or youth

Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Ability to coach and supervise staff through reflective practice

Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred

Education

Bachelor’s Degree preferred
