Job summary

Livingston ESA is seeking an Associate Teacher for Early Childhood to support the Lead Teacher in a trauma-informed classroom for children ages 3-5 in Fowlerville. Immediate start, non-exempt, 10-month calendar.

You will assist with daily routines, support social-emotional development, and engage families in learning. Qualifications include an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related CDA credential and 1–2 years of classroom experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or CDA credential.
• 1–2 years of experience in early childhood classrooms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Head Start and GSRP requirements.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher with daily routines and activities.
• Assist in creating a warm, trauma-informed classroom environment.
• Support social-emotional development and language skills.
• Supervise the classroom when Lead Teacher is out.
• Engage with families and document attendance and records.
