Job summary

Livingston ESA in Howell, MI seeks an Associate Teacher Substitute to support a trauma-informed preschool classroom for ages 3–5. You’ll work with the Lead Teacher to nurture development, implement routines, and ensure a safe, caring environment.

10-month schedule with a starting date of immediately and a salary of $16.75–$20.00 per hour. Requirements include an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development (or CDA) and 1–2 years of related experience.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Ability to negotiate conflict and resolve emotionally charged situations.

Responsibilities

• Supports social-emotional needs of children.
• Assists Lead Teacher with daily routines and activities.
• Supervises the classroom when Lead Teacher is out of room.
• Assists with health and developmental support for 3–5 year olds.
• Maintains classroom records and participates in planning.
