Livingston ESA in Howell, Michigan is seeking an Early Childhood Associate Teacher (Substitute) to assist the Lead Teacher with daily routines and learning activities. The role involves supporting children, preparing materials, and maintaining a positive, organized classroom environment on an as-needed basis.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or a valid CDA credential, and demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills,

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or the equivalent; or, CDA credential.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Head Start and/or GSRP requirements is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher with daily routines and activities.
• Interact with children encouraging problem solving, exploration, experimentation and questioning.
• Assist Lead Teacher in preparing the learning environment and materials.
• Supervise the classroom when Lead Teacher is out of the room.
• May substitute for Lead Teacher as needed and participate in staff meetings.
