Job summary

Hartford Memorial Middle School in White River Jct., Vermont, is seeking an Alternative Classroom Paraprofessional to work with the Phoenix Program. You will support students in social-emotional and executive functioning skill development, with opportunities for one-to-one intervention and collaboration with the Phoenix Team.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting students with social-emotional and behavioral needs.
• Ability to provide academic support and assist with transitions.
• Two years of relevant experience preferred.
• High School/Trade School diploma preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Phoenix team to support students with social-emotional and behavioral needs.
• Provide support for students transitioning into and out of the alternative classroom.
• Process behavioral incidents with students to help them build reflective skills.
• Support and implement behavior plans for students, as needed.
• Provide structure and boundaries for students throughout their school day.
• Provide academic support as needed.
• Provide support on the bus during student transportation to and from school.
• Track data as requested by the team.
