Northwest Children's Home is seeking Youth Mentors to work with a small group of children on a 22 acre campus in the LC Valley. You will accompany the children through their treatment plans and help them reach personal goals amidst trauma history and behavioral challenges.

Youth Mentors lead and participate in outdoor activities such as basketball, hiking, and games, while modeling healthy boundaries and supportive relationships in a trauma-informed care framework.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year experience working with children, verifiable through references.
• Valid Driver’s License to transport residents in agency vehicles.

Responsabilités

• Work with a group of 3 children at a time on our campus, supporting therapeutic treatment plans.
• Engage in outdoor activities such as basketball, volleyball, hiking, fishing, and rollerblading with the children.
• Build quality relationships, set healthy boundaries, and apply Trauma Informed Care practices throughout the treatment process.
