Zusammenfassung

The Ridge Behavioral Health System in Lexington, KY is seeking Mental Health Technicians for full-time and part-time shifts (36 hours/week) from 7am to 7pm, with every other weekend required. A two-week paid orientation runs Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Technicians will support patients with psychiatric and substance use care, facilitate activity groups, monitor patient safety, and respond to crises using de-escalation techniques as part of the treatment team.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Some college coursework preferred.
• Experience may be accepted in lieu of college coursework.
• Must demonstrate basic knowledge of emotional and mental health and disease concepts including addiction.
• Clear communication and competency in facilitating psycho-education groups.

Aufgaben

• Facilitates group activities tailored to topic, age, and understanding as approved.
• Ensures patients are monitored in the proper location for activities.
• Provides crisis intervention and de-escalation to diffuse safety concerns.
