Job summary

Sandstone Care in Cascade, CO, is seeking a Mental Health Technician to support clients through recovery, provide direct care, and assist with therapeutic activities within a safety-focused environment.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to help clients meet treatment goals and contribute to trauma-informed practices. A high school diploma and healthcare experience are preferred; CPR certification is strongly preferred or obtainable within 30 days. Weekend availability required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Two years college or 1 year human services experience required
• Associates or bachelor's degree in psychology or behavioral health preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor and guide clients during therapeutic and recreational activities, facilitate skill-building exercises, and support clients in achieving treatment goals.
• Respond to incidents and use de-escalation techniques to maintain a calm environment.
• Work closely with the clinical and operational teams to ensure consistent care delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of client behavior and report significant changes promptly; ensure confidentiality and client safety per regulations.
• Utilize a compassionate approach to support clients with behavioral health challenges.
