Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current enrollment/completion of half a Psychology, Social Work, or related undergrad program, or equivalent experience, required.
• BLS certification required prior to finishing orientation, within 90 days, must maintain.
• TCI certification provided by the organization, prior to finishing orientation, within 90 days, must maintain.
• First Aid certification required prior to finishing orientation, within 90 days, must maintain.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic supportive and trauma-informed care to patients and families under RN or supervisor guidance.
• Establishes therapeutic relationships and communicates effectively with patients and families.
• Provides trauma-informed care and uses de-escalation and safety techniques as needed.
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans.
• Act as a resource to unit staff regarding diagnoses, behavior plans, and crisis management.
