Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking a Behavioral Health nurse to deliver trauma-informed care to patients and families under supervision. This part-time 0.8 FTE role (32 hours/week) runs 3:00pm–11:30pm with every other weekend; pay starts at $21.71/hour plus $1.80 evening and $1.80 weekend differentials.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in psychology or related field (Master’s preferred), BLS and TCI certifications, and at least one year hospital mental health

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field required; master's preferred.
• One year of hospital mental health experience required in the past three years
• Three years of relevant experience or equivalent education required

Responsibilities

• Participate with interdisciplinary team in specialized patient care.
• Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Provide trauma-informed care and de-escalation as needed.
• Collaborate to develop treatment plans and support staff.
• Serve as a resource on diagnoses, behavior plans, protective equipment, crisis management.
