Central City Concern seeks a Medical Assistant to join the Blackburn Center team in Portland. You will support providers and the care team, manage patient flow, perform screenings, and assist with referrals in a trauma-informed, client-centered setting.

The role requires a certified MA, a year of relevant experience, and a valid driver's license. You will work at Blackburn Center and Evergreen Crossing, with a union represented environment and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Certificate-level Medical Assistant program accredited by CAAHEP or NCCT is required.
• High School or GED required.
• Minimum of one year recent MA experience in healthcare.
• Current driver’s license and vehicle access required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen, TB test and background check.

Responsabilités

• Work as a member of the Blackburn Center multi-disciplinary team to deliver integrated services.
• Manage patient flow and pre-visit preparation with clinical team.
• Prepare patients and document vital signs and screenings per protocols.
• Medication reconciliation and coordination of referrals with providers.
• Administer injectable medications per order and document per protocols.
• Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms and equipment.
