Job summary

Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for our Primary Care program at the Plaza Health Center in NE Portland, OR. The CMA supports clinicians, manages patient flow, and performs clinical and administrative tasks in a trauma-informed, integrated setting.

The role requires CMA certification, current CPR, and the ability to travel between Portland metro centers. Schedule is Mon–Fri, 8:30 a.m.

Qualifications

• Graduate CMA program and current CMA certification.
• Preferred: 6 months to 2 years of clinical experience.
• Experience with Epic EMR.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, escort to examination rooms, and prepare for examinations or procedures while documenting in the EHR.
• Accurately measure and record vital signs (height, weight, MAP, BP, pulse, RR, temp, pain).
• Perform point-of-care testing and CLIA‑waived lab procedures as ordered by providers.
• Condu ct venipuncture, collect specimens, and log results.
• Administer medications and vaccinations under provider direction within scope.
• Assist with procedures (wound care, dressing changes, sutures) and basic diagnostic tests.
• Maintain in-basket tasks and timely communication with providers and patients.
• Document all patient interactions in the EHR and ensure clinic operations run smoothly.
