Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a Social Worker to deliver psychosocial assessments, discharge planning, and case management across five units in an inpatient setting. You will work with a multidisciplinary team from a trauma-informed, strengths-based perspective to support patients and families during hospitalization and after discharge.

This PRN role requires at least four shifts per month and weekday availability.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical/Counseling Psychology or related field required.
• Licensure preferred; license eligibility to register with DORA and pursue LCSW/LMFT/LPC if not licensed.
• 1–2 years mental health experience preferred; inpatient psychiatric setting preferred.
• Knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership, crisis and behavior management, and family therapy theory and practice is preferred.
• Flexibility for reassignment to units serving varied populations including adults, adolescents, and dual-diagnosis patients in an inpatient hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, interventions, support, advocacy, and case management as primary provider and/or ancillary to the primary medical provider.
• Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical intervention and support to patients and families.
• Assess, develop treatment plans, and intervene to address needs identified in the assessment and by the Team.
• Utilize knowledge of culture, age, and developmental stages to develop treatment plans and provide interventions, either independently or as a team member.
• Supervision towards licensure available.
• This is a PRN position with a minimum of 4 shifts per month and weekday availability.
