The role requires completion of ECE certificates, CPR/First Aid, and collaboration with mentors to implement goals and family interventions, including two annual home visits.

Qualifications

• Ninety-hour Early Childhood Education Certificate required.
• Forty-five-hour Infant Toddler Certificate required.
• CDA credential required within three months of employment.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Plans and presents educational activities that are culturally sensitive, attachment-based, and trauma-informed.
• Collaborates with the Development Coordinator and mentor to plan lessons and daily care plans using the Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold.
• Supports parent-child attachment interventions and family partnership agreements.
• Develops, plans, and prepares instructional aids/materials for the classroom.
• Ensures timely completion of classroom paperwork and documentation; conducts weekly observations.
• Completes child development screenings and quarterly checkpoints; conducts parent conferences.
• Maintains a clean, safe classroom and communicates progress and needs with parents.
• Follows licensing requirements and Early Head Start performance standards; completes two home visits annually.
