Job summary

Guest House of Milwaukee is seeking a Guest Services II for the 2nd shift (3pm–11pm), 16–24 hours per week, to build on Guest Services I duties by handling more complex guest needs, maintaining a stable and responsive environment, and reinforcing trauma-informed practices across shifts.

You will respond to emergencies, assist with admissions and intake, complete documentation, and support peers through meetings and trainings in a shelter setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in shelter, residential, or human services.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Guest Services I duties with minimal oversight.
• Preferred experience with homelessness and crisis intervention training.

Responsibilities

• Model respectful, trauma-informed interactions with guests and visitors.
• Identify patterns or concerns in guest behavior and elevate issues requiring intervention.
• Reinforce residence rules, agency policies, and admissions procedures.
• Conduct safety checks and respond calmly to emergencies.
• Complete documentation accurately and support peers in reporting.
• Participate in meetings and trainings; share learnings with peers.
• Contribute to dorm cleanliness and overall organization.
