Bozeman Health is seeking a Forensic Nurse Examiner (FNE) to provide timely, compassionate care to assault patients, including medical forensic exams, prophylaxis for pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, photo documentation, referrals for follow-up, and participation in legal proceedings.

The FNE collaborates with the healthcare team and community partners and may see patients who have experienced sexual assault, intimate partner violence, domestic violence, or maltreatment, following

Qualifications

• Current Montana Licensure Registered Nurse (RN).
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Competence in modified primary nursing.

Responsabilités

• Collects comprehensive data and documents history accurately.
• Triage patient to determine if emergency medical treatment is needed.
• Coordinate referrals for medical and psychological follow-up.
• Perform head-to-toe physical examination and forensic specimen collection.
• Maintain chain of custody and adhere to evidence protocols.
• Provide testimony as fact witness and coordinate with attorneys.
• Participate in community awareness and outreach projects as directed.
