Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a Family Services Supervisor to lead and oversee the Family Services programs, ensuring trauma-informed, client-centered practices while meeting funding, compliance, and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities include managing daily operations, coordinating staff and volunteers, and monitoring program performance. Requires 2+ years in social services and strong confidentiality and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in human services, Social Work, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in social services, case management, or community-based human services.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of Family Services programs, including utility assistance, hope market operations, seasonal assistance, and emergency support.
• Coordinate schedules, workflows, and coverage for Family Services staff and volunteers.
• Monitor program performance and service utilization to ensure effective use of resources.
• Assist with client intake, needs assessments, referrals, and follow-up using trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices.
