Job summary

Sunbeam Family Services in Oklahoma City is seeking a Family Advocate to support child and family relationships through goal setting, teamwork, and trauma-informed, hope-centered services. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to identify strengths, plan activities, and help families meet goals while maintaining confidentiality and cultural sensitivity.

Key duties include engaging families, coordinating enrollment with ERSEA, conducting health checks, documenting progress, and partnering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Family Studies, Social Work, or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Family Development Credential (FDC) preferred.
• Experience in social services preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish/English a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promote a work environment that respects diverse cultures and experiences.
• Support development of each child’s physical, social-emotional, and cognitive growth.
• Provide trauma-informed, relationship-focused services and supports.
• Assist with recruitment, intake, and enrollment with ERSEA.
• Engage families through regular conversations and activities.
• Complete Family Needs Assessments with families to guide goals.
• Plan and facilitate parent engagement activities and education.
• Collaborate with Mental Health–Education–Family Support team.
• Travel locally as required.
• Maintain confidential records and reports.
