Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Valid DC license (K-6), 2+ years urban teaching experience, knowledge of DC standards, familiarity with IEP/504/IDEA, strong classroom management, and commitment to trauma-informed practices.
• Ability to design standards-aligned, differenti ated instruction and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience engaging diverse learners including English language learners and students with IEPs.
• Willingness to develop and follow classroom and school-wide policies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver standards-aligned instruction to K–5 students.
• Differentiate lesson plans to meet diverse learning needs.
• Utilize trauma-informed, evidence-based instructional strategies.
• Collaborate with special educators, related service providers, and families.
• Administer and analyze academic assessments to monitor progress.
• Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, attendance, and progress.
• Contribute to school policies and a safe, inclusive classroom culture.
